About Dr. Marossy
Hello, I’m Dr. Michael Marossy, a licensed clinical psychologist based in Pasadena, CA. Two of my greatest passions in life are deepening my understanding of people and sitting with others to help them work through their suffering so they can lead healthier and more meaningful lives. My pursuit of these passions led me to attain my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and to receive training in a variety of settings and institutions that helped shape the therapist I am today.
My clinical training background includes placements at university counseling centers (Vanguard University, Azusa Pacific University), community mental health clinics (Fuller Psychological and Family Services), and mental health/behavioral hospitals (Meier Clinics). This combination of settings has prepared me to work well with clients from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, as well as clients who are suffering from a broad range of psychological symptoms and conditions.
I graduated from my Ph.D. program at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology with distinction as both a clinician and researcher and received an APA-accredited internship and APPIC-accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship. I then went on to work at Fuller as a Licensed Clinical Supervisor and Adjunct Professor.
My research is focused on how to effectively incorporate faith and spirituality into clinical practice, which is why working with clients who hope to include their religious/spiritual beliefs in therapy is an area of specialty for me. I also have extensive experience working with Christian clients and clients who are either working or formerly worked in ministry settings.
Today, I work full-time in my private practice and spend my remaining time reading and writing. I live in Pasadena with my wife and son, and I enjoy sports and spending time in nature.
